Gluten Free Cheddar Bay Biscuits - Copy Cat Recipe

Before Ryan was diagnosed with a gluten sensitivity and major shellfish allergy we would visit Red Lobster at least once a month. My favorite thing was those warm and delicious Cheddar Bay Biscuits. We would go through plates of them every month. Boy, have me missed them.

Thursday afternoon Ryan texted me to ask what we were having for dinner last night. I told her we were having shredded pork with bbq sauce. We are using up the leftovers from the pork roast I made a few days ago. Ryan wanted biscuits to go with it. Yes! BBQ Biscuit sandwiches sounded delicious and what would be better than a copy cat Cheddar Bay Biscuit Recipe. So easy and so yummy!

1 C Buttermilk
1 C Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
4 TBSP Butter, Cubed
1 TSP Garlic Powder
1 TSP Kosher Salt


2 TBSP Butter, Melted
1 TSP Garlic Powder
1 TSP Old Bay

Preheat oven to 450.

Combine Bisquick and Butter in the bowl of a food processor. Pulse until it resembles peas. Add buttermilk, cheese and seasonings and process until dough forms.

Drop by the tablespoon full onto parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.

Mix together melted butter, salt and Old Bay. Spoon over warm biscuits fresh from the oven and serve.
