Today's recipe courtesy of The Hundred Foot Journey in theaters August 8th is for Onion Soup. This is one of my favorites. There is nothing better than a cold night with a hot bowl of Onion Soup. YUM!
A couple of glossary items for you. The recipe calls for glace de viande. This is a reduction of a beef based stock. If you don't wish to make this from scratch you can pick some up in the soup section of your local supermarket. A bouquet garni is a bundle of herbs; thyme, bayleaf, sage, tied with string.
