Energy Star

October is Energy Awareness Month. This makes it a great time to take a look around your home and find ways that you can save on your own energy costs. The ENERGY STAR program began in 1992 as a way for companies to manufacture appliances that are more energy efficient and reduce the amount of greenhouse gases that are released. I remember years ago when the first ENERGY STAR appliances hit the stores. In those days you would only see the ENERGY STAR ratings on large appliances like refrigerators and washers and dryers. These days you can find televisions and new homes that have ENERGY STAR ratings. I think this is just incredible!

I am in the market for a washer and dryer. I am headed over to Best Buy to check out all the the ENERGY STAR appliances and find one that will fit my needs. You can head over to Best Buy too! Just head over to http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Global-Promotions/ENERGY-STAR/pcmcat149900050024.c?id=pcmcat149900050024&ref=184&loc=01. Best Buy has over 2300 unique ENERGY STAR products and I intend to check them all out!

Now you know that you are going to save money on your bills when you switch out your appliances for something more energy efficient. The average home's energy costs are almost $2200.00 a year. Check out the energy solutions at Best Buy to find one that works for you.
