Answers at Walgreens

When I was a little girl, the pharmacy is where we would sometimes go for medical care. I had a tendency to dislocate my shoulders and if I was with my grandmother when that happened we would go to our local pharmacy and the pharmacist would reduce the dislocation. These days pharmacists don't do too much of that, but they are always available for questions!

Stuffed Zucchini

Stuffed Zucchini

During my trip to the farmer's market last week I picked up some large zucchini at a great price. If you have zucchini in your garden and want to give me some, I will gladly take them! ;) The first thing I made was Zucchini Pecan Bread and that was delicious! Next up on the menu was Stuffed Zucchini.

North Carolina in Movies

Debuting on DVD August 20th

North Carolina is certainly not the state that springs to mind when you think about locations where movies are filmed. Over the years, the number of films shot in the eastern state has grown and now there are a wide variety of genres included on the list. Here, we count down some of the most picturesque movies filmed in North Carolina.

My Journey with Home Health Care

Ryan: Three years ago my mom was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and had to stop working. I went from living with my mom and helping with bills to my mom living with me, and we didn’t even have to move! Talk about hitting the ground running. Everything was now on my shoulders, rent, utilities, groceries, doctors, medications, and whatever else you could possibly think of was now my responsibility. Ulcerative Colitis is just the tip of the ice berg of what’s wrong with her. Every day I leave the house wondering if something is going to happen to her. Being the care taker is exhausting, I don’t trust anyone else with her, half the time I don’t even trust the doctors, they have a bad habit of not reading charts, let’s not kill my mom by giving her something she’s allergic to, please. I wouldn’t have it any other way though. She’s my mom, the one person who has constantly been there for me. Now it’s my turn to give back and be there for her.
