Tax Time!

Tax Time

There are so many new changes in the tax law this year that it's hard to keep up! Have you had a chance to look at the new tax laws? It might even be worth it to take courses on the new tax laws using Online LL.M Programs.

Did you know that if you as a single person make $400,000 or as a married couple you make $450,000 then you are pushed into a higher tax bracket and will have to pay almost 40%? Estate taxes have also gone up to 40% but only for estates worth 5 million dollars or more.

I do my children's taxes each year and my son would like me to take care of his taxes tomorrow night. Right now I am trying to learn as much as I can about the new tax code so that I can get them done. I have a few more people to take care of after that. I'm a little nervous!

Many years ago I would take my taxes to an accountant to be prepared. That cost a LOT of money. Then I took them to one of the thousands of tax places that seem to pop up everywhere during tax season but that cost a lot of money too. Then I found out that I could file online! That was awesome. I have never paid more than $10.00 to file. The web site that I use already knows what's going on with the tax laws and then just prompts me to enter the numbers from W2's, 1099's, etc... Could not be easier!

This year, in addition to my son's taxes, I will also be taking care of my daughter's and two of her friends. It's a big tax year and I hope I can get them the largest refunds that they deserve and they all deserve them!

What are you doing for taxes this year?
