I have been using essential oils for years. I love the way they smell. Sometimes I use them in place of perfume. I have also used them as alternative therapies. If you have been reading my blog for a while then you know I have chronic pain issues. I also get migraines in addition to all the other fun stuff that I experience!
In addition to their intrinsic benefits to plants and being beautifully fragrant to people, essential oils have been used throughout history in many cultures for their medicinal and therapeutic benefits. Modern scientific study and trends towards more holistic approaches to wellness are driving a revival and new discovery of essential oil health applications.
Recently I was given the opportunity to review a couple of the essential oils from doTERRA. I received samples of Peppermint Oil and Lemon Oil to review. This is the real thing and a little goes a LONG way! Peppermint Oil is great to use for chronic headaches. Just dab a tiny bit on each temple. You would be amazed at how quickly the headache goes away. Peppermint Oil is also great for digestion.
I LOVE the smell of lemons. I find it so refreshing. I would fill my house with the smell of citrus every day of the year. This was a lovely oil that I just used on my wrists because I like the way it smells!
People have used plants and herbs for thousands of years it is best to keep in mind that the FDA has bever evaluated these claims to see if they are true.
