Review: Blood Sugar by Michael Moore

Blood Sugar by Michael Moore

My grandmother was a diabetic. My mother-in-law was a diabetic. She went blind from diabetes because she ignored all of the warning signs and once it was diagnosed it was too late to save her vision. My blood sugar has been running higher than normal and my doctor is concerned so I have been trying to eat healthy. I was excited to receive Blood Sugar: Inspiring Recipes For Anyone Facing The Challenge Of Diabetes and Maintaining Good Health by Michael Moore. When I heard the title I thought, "This book is for me!".

This book is more than just a book full of recipes (which are delicious) and food photos (which are gorgeous and mouthwatering!) This is a book that gives you personal advice on your relationship with food, what kinds of food impact your body in a good  and bad way and how to cook healthy meals for you and your family.

English born Michael Moore is one of Australia's most experienced and respected chefs. His career has spanned 26 years and two continents. Blood Sugar is his second book.

All of the recipes are easy to make and many have ingredients that I already have around the house. I made a delicious Green Roast Herb & Lemon Chicken and I can't wait to try more of the recipes.

You can also find more wonderful recipes on Michael Moore's web site. Like Chef Michael Moore on Facebook and follow on Twitter.
