Review: IMUSA 7.5 QT Pressure Cooker

Have you heard the horror stories about pressure cookers exploding? I have. But the fact is that I don't know anyone this has happened to! Pressure cookers have a bad reputation because of these stories. These stories are why I have not used a pressure cooker before.
I watch the Food Network and I see that Pressure Cookers are used quite a bit during competition. This has made me quite curious. When Imusa offered to send me their 7.5 QT Pressure Cooker to review I was very excited and a little nervous, but I don't want to let old wives tales keep me from experiencing something new.

IMUSA sent me the gorgeous Pressure Cooker pictured above. I did a lot of reading before using it. In fact I read the manual repeatedly before and during the cooking process. I wanted to make sure that I did this right and safely! I AM IN LOVE! I am absolutely head over heels in love with this Pressure Cooker! I cannot believe how easy it was to use. I cannot believe how quickly it cooked my food and I cannot believe how juicy my chicken was! This is a truly incredible piece of cookware and I cannot believe that I let a bunch of old wives tales keep me from it for so long!

I made a delicious chicken and rice dish. I used two very large chicken breasts. If I had cooked them in the oven they probably would have taken close to an hour. Using the Pressure Cooker they were done in 20 minutes and they were juicy and so full of flavor. I am impressed and I am a convert to pressure cooking! Next up will be pot roast!

IMUSA doesn't just do Pressure Cookers. They have a whole line of cookware which includes rice makers, tamale steamers and even a Panini Press! They have it all and I hope you will check them out.

Like Imusa on Facebook and follow them on Twitter.

Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post although I did receive a free pressure cooker in order to facilitate my review. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
