Even though we all know the definition of integrity, I thought now would be a good time to grab the definition from Dictionary.Com and post a reminder. Let me tell you why.
My friend Brandi owns a business called Busy Brandi Design. She designs websites and she does beautiful work at really affordable prices. From time to time she will hold a giveaway for her services. The wonderful thing about Brandi is that she pays the same attention to detail with her free blog makeovers as she does with her paid blog makeovers.
Brandi had been doing some work for a Mommy PR site that will remain nameless. This Nameless Mommy PR site decided that they wanted to pull the wool over Brandi's eyes and tried to steal her services. She received an email the other day with winner's information from a giveaway that she knew nothing about. To make it even better, when she asked for a link to this giveaway they made up a fake blog post and backdated it. The giveaway had 3 entrants. Yes, you read that right. 5 entries. 2 of the entries were blogs that Brandi has just finished working on. So guess who won? Yep! The one who had not had any work done.
I am disgusted by the actions of these women. Brandi works very hard for her money. For someone to totally disregard her business and attempt to steal her services is a crime. Theft of service is a crime. It is wrong and shows a complete lack of integrity. These women owe Brandi an HUGE apology. They should also pay Brandi for the time she has spent on this.
