If you go into ToysRUs and buy one small toy, you will be asked if you want to buy batteries. If you go into Office Depot or Best Buy to buy a basic computer, you will be asked to buy extrended warranties and add ons.

There is debate about whether these sales people get commission or not. They may tell you they don’t get paid bonuses for selling you more. However, most companies have some sort of incentive program to help motivate their employees to work harder and sell more. I just want to make sure I’m not spending more than I planned just to help someone else get a bonus.
