Spring is the Season for Renewal #NaBloPoMo Day 5

Today's writing prompt is, "Do you wish the start of the year was in a different season? Which one?". My initial response was no! We have always celebrated the new year in the dead of winter, why change it? But then I thought about it. I think spring would be a more appropriate time for the new year. Spring is about new life. New beginnings belong in the spring.

The Chinese New Year is celebrated in the spring. It is one of the most important festivals in the Chinese calendar.

So I say this year let's toss out the winter new year and celebrate in the season of new beginnings! Who is with me?

Came by through the Weekend Hop and just wanted to say a quick Hello! I really like your blog and will follow wherever I can. I'm a Dietist student with 2 sons who had severe food allergies when they were younger, so it'll be interesting to read about how you ajusted to a glutenfree life.

Have a great weekend!

Count me in! Spring IS the true beginning...New Years should be at that time. Why start the new year when everything is dormant because of the cold?

I am with you!
