Show Your Support for Walgreens

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
I live in an Air Force town and I used to work at the local hospital. I know first hand how many people are affected by Express Scripts decision to no longer allow Walgreens to be a part of its Pharmacy Provider Network. You can read more about Walgreens and Express Scripts here. This has been devastating to our town. Walgreens has the only 24 hour pharmacy in a 500 mile radius. Imagine this, you are in the military and your child becomes ill in the middle of the night. The only place that you can fill the prescription is no longer able to accept your insurance. This is the position that many of my friends and family find themselves in and I want to do something about it.
Walgreens wants to help and they are offering a special discount on annual membership for its Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens. This offer is available to everyone through January 31st.
What can you do to help? Write a letter to the editor of your local paper. Sign the petition that is available at the pharmacy counter of your local Walgreens. I believe that together, we can change the world!

I had not heard about this yet. We have a Walgreens about 20 minutes from our home. I can imagine that this has put you in a bad position, as you need to have options of where to go for your insurance.

I haven't heard about this until now. That is really bad. I love shopping at Walgreens and we use them for all of our prescriptions. I could not imagine them being our only option but they no longer accept our insurance.
