Review: Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil

I have been curious about virgin coconut oil and wanted to give it a try. I see it in my local health food store. I have read about it on other blogs and then it was my turn to give it a try! The consistency is a bit like shortening so I scooped it out of the jar and melted it in a frying pan. I wanted to try frying with it. I heard that coconut oil is stable at high temperatures which makes it great to fry with. Let me tell you, it IS great to fry with! I made some Buttermilk Fried Chicken and it was wonderful! There is a slight coconut smell in the air while you are frying but no coconut taste in my chicken. It came out crispy and delicious and I am impressed.

You can check out some Free Coconut Recipes or you can use it the way you would use shortening. Give it a  try. I think you will be pleasantly surprised! Click here to purchase.
