January Simple Service Project #AbbottCFK #CBias

In December, I participated in the Disney Champions for Kids simple service project. I gathered together Disney themed toys and donated two stockings full to the Cornerstone Rescue Mission.

This month I am joining Abbott Nutrition to help spotlight childhood hunger. Did you know that 1 in 4 children is food insecure? This means that they are not always sure where their next meal is coming from. I am blessed to live in a community that recognizes that hunger is a huge problem and tries to do something about it. Feeding South Dakota has a program that sends backpacks full of food to over 1400 children each weekend. These backpacks ensure that each child has something nourishing to eat while school is out.

Next week I will be heading to Walmart to put together a package to donate to Feeding South Dakota's backpack program. I hope you will join me in lending a hand to help end childhood hunger. All of us together can make a huge difference in a child's life.

Please join us for the Abbott Champions for Kids Twitter Party on January 19th at 9:00 PM EST using the hash tag #AbbottCFK.

That is awesome! I would love it if everyone got involved in their own communities. Together we can change the world!

I'm doing the Champions for Kids January project too. I love the backpack program! I am still trying to decide who do donate too. There are so many kids in need.
