Will You Take a Stand for a #BraveWoman? #CBias

Earlier this month I asked Are You a Brave Woman? Today I want you to take a stand for a Brave Woman. When you are a victim of domestic violence you feel like you are the loneliest person in the world. Do you know what it is like to be yelled at or hit in public and have everyone else pretend like nothing is happening? I do.

If you see or hear a confrontation, call 911. Don't endanger yourself, but please don't ignore it. If you know someone in this situation please offer to help. Find the nearest shelter and offer to give them a ride. If you are in this situation please know that there are others who have been where you are and we want to help and support you.

Take The Brave Woman Pledge:
pledge to honor and respect brave women and children who tackle the difficult journey of change from domestic violence to a new life. I acknowledge my own moment-by-moment bravery, will remain aware of what is happening to others around me, and speak up against violence in any form. I will stanId up for human dignity and safety for women and children.

What a good idea!! I am now following them on facebook and twitter! This is still one of the most misunderstood syndromes--I will always help or try to help if needed!

I took the pledge - I know what it is like. My ex-husband was very abusive - I will never sit back and watch someone else go through that. I also shared this on facebook!

I was abused as a child and SO many people ignored my please for help. I hope that by spreading awareness of the issue, fewer women and children will suffer. Thank you.

Thanks for offering advice to those who witness domestic violence. People usually don't help because they're afraid of what they don't understand.
