Shopping for Disney Champions for Kids #DisneyCFK #CBias

Last week I wrote about Disney's Champions for Kids. This week, Ryan and I went shopping at Walmart for stocking stuffers to donate to The Cornerstone Rescue Mission. The Mission does so much for our community. They offer a veteran's outreach program. They provide shelter, meals, clothing, personal items to many families in the Rapid City area. They have a wish list and I tried to get some of the items on the list. They also have a number of different volunteer opportunities. The Mission's Christmas party if coming up this weekend, so if you live in the Rapid City area and would like to help out, now is the time!

The mission of Champions for Kids is simple. They are working to mobilize millions of people to improve the lives of children in their own communities. Each month Champions for Kids offers a new way for you to get involved. Check out these Simple Service Projects and volunteer today. There is still time to make a child'e eyes light up this Christmas.

I had a blast going to Walmart to shop for Disney themed stocking stuffers! Ryan said she enjoyed the giving more than the shopping but I love both! After our shopping trip I put the stockings together and this morning we dropped them off at the Mission. They were thrilled with the donation. I only wish I could have done more. But, that's the beauty of a Simple Service Project. You do what you can. If enough people do what they can then the needs will be fulfilled.
