November 26th is Small Business Saturday
Pledge to shop small on November 26th. Help your local businesses and help the economy by doing your shopping locally. If you are a small business then check out the web site that American Express has set up to help you attract more business.
Where is this all leading you ask. Well, I will tell you! Thursday I went to an event benefiting the KOTA Care and Share Food Drive. It was called the "Suite" Shopping Social and it was held at the Comfort Suites. The social featured at home businesses. I love these as the products are great and the people who sell the products can make their own hours. You can't ask for anything better!
My favorite booths at this event were Tupperware, Pampered Chef and Lia Sophia.
The Tupperware booth was run by Vicki Barlean who also owns a local bakery called Cakes & More AND she is known as the Gluten Free Fairy! She provides bread for a local coffee shop called Alternative Fuel. I have tasted her bread and it is outstanding! In addition to all of this she sells Tupperware too! You can check out Vicki's Tupperware site HERE.
My next stop was to the Pampered Chef booth run by Nikol Wendt. Who doesn't love Pampered Chef? You can check out Nikol's Pampered Chef page HERE. I am hoping to partner with Nikol for an event in January. Stay tuned for that!
Last but certainly not least was the Lia Sophia booth run by Tanya Bennett. If you have never checked out Lia Sophia Jewelry then you need to. They have beautiful stuff. I bought Ryan a cameo from Lia Sophia and it is a beautiful piece that will last for years. You can check out Tanya's page HERE. I am hoping to work with Tanya as well.
I really hope you get out there on Small Business Saturday and help support your local businesses.
